Mrs Nataliya Apostolova is a Bulgarian diplomat who has served over 25 years both in her national diplomatic administration and in the European external action service.
She was holding high level positions in the Bulgarian state administration, including leading the EU accession negotiations of Bulgaria in 3 main chapters- transport, energy and Trans-European networks.
Mrs Apostolova has been posted as a Bulgarian national diplomat in the Permanent representation of Bulgaria to WTO, Geneva and in the Permanent representation of Bulgaria to the EU.
Her career in the European Commission, DG Enlargement, has been closely associated with the Western Balkan region.
From 2010 until now Mrs Apostolova has been serving in the EEAS holding posts in Cairo as deputy head of the EU delegation and in Libya as Ambassador and head of the EU delegation in Tripoli.
Mrs Apostolova is a law graduate, she has one daughter.
