Biography

Petia Manolova is the representative of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Albania since October 2021. She is responsible for the EIB institutional matters for Albania and she is in charge of originating, structuring and executing public and private sector financing transactions in Albania. Ms Manolova joined the EIB in 2006 as a loan officer in charge of countries in the Southern African region, covering projects in the utilities and infrastructure financing, mining and financial sectors. Subsequently, she has been working as a senior economist in EIB’s Innovation and Competitiveness department and has been involved in a number of operations in the industrial sectors as well as in medical technology and life sciences. Before joining the EIB, Petia Manolova was working in economic research and as a consultant in the EU and national projects. A Bulgarian and French national, she holds a Master’s degree in economics and econometrics from Aix-Marseille University.
